Ms. McPherson
My name is Emily McPherson and this will be my second year as the Physical Education teacher at Brooks Elementary. I teach PE so I can help kids learn how to lead a healthy life and appreciate physical activity. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville. I completed my student teaching with Elizabethtown Independent Schools and then began substitute teaching with Bullitt County Public Schools. I am so excited to have the opportunity to return to BCPS as a teacher.
In my free time, I enjoy running, lifting weights, and spending time with family. I have completed 6 half-marathons and 3 Louisville Triple Crowns of Running. I have 3 sisters who are all teachers and 4 nephews that I love spending time with!
